RUN FOR SHELTER to the new 1940s night that's just brimming with community spirit!

Ladies, don your lipstick and tea-dresses and draw on those stockings. Men dust off your medals and wave your Union Jack with pride. Blitz Party is set to be London’s hottest new night, where cocktails, dancing and neighbourly spirit are the order of the evening.

Make your way to a wartime East End air shelter, complete with sandbags, searchlights, blackout curtains, oil lamps and military bunk beds. Ration books replace bar tabs and scarce provisions line the walls.

Spread under two arches, the rooms will host the UK’s finest live swing bands, performers and DJs. Big band tunes play for fun-loving party girls who long to share a Gin French with a handsome man in uniform. The Spitfire Bar serves good old Kentish Ale and hearty food to hungry soldiers, and another room will project original newsreels and wartime films, accompanied by live music.

Dress Code – 1940s glam, home front utility clothing and allied uniform all welcome Head to Shoreditch to party in style at the Blitz Party London event.

Giving party goers the chance to sample some East End community spirit and 1940s chic without actually having to face the threat of imminent aerial bombardment, the special retro night at Village Underground should be a hit for all those who love to dress up for a club night that's out of the ordinary.

Promising heaps of vintage glamour, the Blitz Party London event sees Village Underground decked out with sandbags, searchlights, blackout curtains and oil lamps to conjure up the spirit of the East End during the Second World War. Draw the stocking seams on the backs of your legs and dress up in 1940s glam, allied uniforms and utility clothing to look the part, and head to the Spitfire bar for Kentish Ale and some hearty wartime grub on the night.

With swing bands playing throughout the night, the Blitz Party London event promises to be full of vintage big band tunes to keep you on the dance floor. DJs and floor shows also feature to keep the live entertainment going throughout the event.
