Vignette is turning its sights on Puccini's masterpiece "La bohème".
It is a twin love story set against the horrors of poverty, military oppression and ultimately death.
Our setting will follow our pairs of young lovers through a war-torn Paris; a city under siege and in the aftermath of vicious conflict.
Our audience and characters alike will find themselves immersed in the conditions of strict military occupation and under the constant danger of a biological toxin that will ultimately claim the life of our heroine.
This production of La bohème will challenge as it enchants and unsettle as it will inspire but in the end it will be a beautiful and agonising story told through some of the most sublime music ever written.
