A NIGHT AT THE SACK RACES
Introducing A Night At the Sack Races, the world’s first night time sack racing event, that brings this nostalgic sports day favourite to London’s urbanites.
Combining live music, comedy, DJs and Espresso Martinis with a highly charged sack race tournament;
Wednesday 9th March will see Shoreditch’s Village Underground venue transformed into the ultimate over-18’s urban human racecourse.
Brought to you by ethical hot drinks brand Cafédirect, all profits from the night will go directly to Comic Relief.
Before each race begins, spectators will be able to view the contenders and decide on their favourite – including a host of famous faces – in the ’paddock’ area and place token bets at a specially created tote. Providing the soundtrack to the night will be live sets from CocknBullKid, Roll Deep, Dog is Dead, and some very special guests.
Pre and post race DJ sets will come from Jameela Jamil (T4), Mat Horne (Gavin & Stacey), Gemma Cairney (BBC 1xtra) and Ronnie Joice (Ronnkie Pop). There will also be a fabulous race side raffle, photo booth and more.
Don’t forget your hat!
All profits from the night will go directly to Comic Relief, to help support communities in need both in the UK and Africa. This is a commitment that Cafédirect shares through the reinvestment of profits to directly improve the lives of more than 1.8 million growers and their families around the world.
