Discounted tickets are available for people attending both events.
DJ RASHAD has been instrumental in the creation and evolution of Chicago Juke and has been lifelong friends with other key players on the scene. He has recently played at FWD and performed on Rinse FM; recent releases
include EPs on Planet Mu, Palms Out Sounds, Ghettophiles and Discobelle Records.
With his 'Man I Do It' EP out in February on Planet Mu and a further EP in April; frequently collaborating with DJ Rashad, DJ Spinn is one of the most respected DJs in Chi Town, he made Footwork tracks what they are today and he is now pushing Juke and Footwork to a worldwide audience.
Chrissy's debut LP for Planet Mu 'Womens Studies" will be landing in May featuring guest appearances from DJ Spinn, MC ZULU, Rubi Dan, Popeye, Warrior Queen, Coool Dundee of DMG$ & Johnny Moog. It's an album of future pop inspired by Dancehall, B-More Club, New Jack Swing as well as Juke and Footwork. He is also famous for his Year Of Mixtapes blog (A Mixtape a week, for one year! - Getting over 10,000 downloads a week!).
Footwork battle dancers AG, Manny and Litebulb will provide a genuine taste of the Chicago scene, at the same time making sense of the uptempo music's subs and snares with the frenetic movement of their limbs. For a great example of what to expect check out Chrissy Murderbot's recent video for 'Bussin down' featuring DJ Spinn.
