Artist & Event Info

After carving out a very extraordinary solo performance for himself as one man with a bass guitar and a whole load of self designed software and smart sequencers as back-up, Squarepusher pulled together a band of consummate masked performers as Shobaleader One.

‘‘ELEKTRAC‘ Album out 10th March on Warp Records’

Featuring Strobe Nazard on keys, Arg Nution on guitar, and Company Laser on drums to enhance the performance and switch studio constructions into live visceral performances. Squarepusher and his android musicians will be delivering searing cuts from the Squarepusher back catalogue featuring classics from albums like Hard Normal Daddy and Music Is Rotted One Note as well as Shobaleader One’s 2010 debut: D’demonstrator. This is an experience no Squarepusher devotee or adventurous music fan should miss.

With members from London, Bahrain & Dubai, Flamingods flock to Village Underground with their unique, multi-instrumental live show. Majesty is the third album by the collective and hints at a new direction brimming with a wealth of influences from their multi-culturally diverse backgrounds. Majesty tells the story of Yuka and his journey to enlightenment over ten tracks of blissful psychedelia. Described as “Eastern and African flavours sieved through psychedelic prisms of pulsating neon and flickering campfires, think Goat meets Tinariwen at Hawkwind’s BBQ” ahead of their appearance at Glastonbury Festival last year, step into the light and experience Flamingods powerful live act.

Special guest Kode9 vibrates parts other DJs can only dream of. His DJ sets and radio shows helped spread the early dubstep sound internationally, but his sets now weave together a bass heavy mix of house, garage, dubstep, grime, footwork and hip hop.
