HARMONIC 313 vs DAEDELUS
9.10.09

A monster night of truly progressive, bass-heavy music brought to you by Soundcrash, purveyors of the finest nights in London.

You are invited to come down to the super-cool Village Underground in Shoreditch for a very special affair combing the old and new in electronic music, with Daedelus and Harmonic 313 battling it out for glitch-core supremecy, while Luke Vibert reps the old-school and shows us why he's such a legend, and relative new-comers Rustie, Lone and Grasscut show us the future of the genre we all love!

Having pioneered the use of the self-built midi-trigger Monome (see also Soundcrash favourite Memroy9) Daedelus has taken his crazy little machine around the world and wowed crowds wherever he has played. Combing glitchy filters with latin beats Alfred's sound has become truly individual, and on stage in his white coat-tails with his huge basslines pumping he creates quite a spectacle, both visually and phonically, and he will be bringing these weapons combined with his experience to the battle-floor tonight.

Taking him on is Harmonic 313, aka Mark Pritchard. A Yeovil native Mark started his career years ago in colaboration projects with a certain Richard D James and Tom Middleton, and continued to work with Tom throughout his career. Now based in Austraila and producing under the H313 moniker his recent album 'When Machines Excede Human Intelligence' has been tearing up dancehalls across the globe, with some seriously meaty b-lines and infuriatingly catchy beats, and these are his main weapons in the battle of the year.

Preparing us all for the carnage of the main event will be Lone with his own inimitable dubstep/glitch styles (LA meets Notts!) and recent Ninja Tune signees Grasscut will get the ball rolling wth their soundscaped-multi-textured-phonic pallette. In all that's one hell of a special line-up, in a wicked-cool venue, keeping you dancing til' dawn!
