Working as part of the Operations team at VU, you will assist with elements of the day to day running of the building, events, maintenance and various projects.

Main Responsibilities
General Maintenance of the venue – This includes working with the maintenance job sheet and reporting back to the Ops team
Conducting recorded weekly / monthly maintenance checks
Waste Management – including keeping the areas where the Eurobins are stored clean and clear
Taking deliveries of wet and dry stock
Assisting with Stock Management including carrying out daily line checks
Stagehand tasks including stage building and movement of the stage/PA
Assist with general venue set up prior to events
Opening and closing of the venue – this may include overseeing load ins / outs on show days
Working on the floor and the bars during events
Ensuring First Aid Kits are fully stocked

You may be rotad to work at specific venues at specific times. Hours will vary and you will be required to work a mixture of both day shifts and night shifts and weekdays and weekends.

As you will be working on different areas of the venue, you will be required to fill out a day to day time sheet of what you are working on at any one time.

Person specifications
Organised, self-motivated, with a high level of initiative and the ability to work across a range of tasks simultaneously
Good organisational, administration and communication skills
Accurate with a good eye for detail

Full time (42.5 hours/week – Hours will vary and you will be required to work a mixture of both day shifts and night shifts and weekdays and weekends.)
